In an ideal world, every attendee would be there. In reality, some are non-negotiable, some are strongly preferred, and some the meeting can go ahead without. You know who they are. So does Whittle.
Required
Attendance is non-negotiable. Their conflicts eliminate slots outright, and their preferred time of day counts ahead of anyone else’s.
Senior counsel. The expert witness. The firm lead. The client.
Preferred
Strongly preferred, but the meeting can go ahead without them. Their conflicts lower a slot’s ranking but never eliminate it.
Junior counsel. A senior member of the in-house legal team.
Optional
Good to have in the room, but not essential. Their availability only separates slots that are otherwise equal. It never eliminates or downgrades one.
A trainee. A junior member of the in-house legal team.
